For over thirty years, World Education/Nepal has addressed a variety of issues to improve the livelihood of individuals and the well-being of their communities. Beginning its Nepal work in 1976 with a focus on literacy, World Education has continued to be a leader in the development and implementation of literacy curriculum in Nepal.
Our projects address literacy as well as other important issues, such as education quality and access, reducing child labor and the trafficking of persons. Across all initiatives there has been an effort to provide additional economic opportunities with microfinance programs, improved education through groundbreaking nonformal education curricula, and job trainings that offer greater economic independence.
Where We Work
World Education currently works in 37 districts of Nepal in addition to running programs with national reach and supporting the Government of Nepal to implement programs that impact learners nationwide.
