In September 2017, Avenues Television aired a segment on a World Education Nepal learning mela in Bajura District! More than 2,000 children, parents and other stakeholders representing 11 schools gathered at Ratna Secondary School on September 17 to celebrate children’s academic achievements from their communities.

The Avenues Television feature showed the mela in action. Students enrolled at the 11 schools performed dances, sang chants and showcased their abilities to read, write and complete mathematics exercises for mela attendees, including locally-elected officials. World Education Nepal’s early grade learning activities are significantly improving learning outcomes in Bajura District’s public schools – a trend that the Avenues Television feature highlights.
